C.J. Falconer & Associates (CJFA) are a design, technical, and innovation-led architectural practice - registered with the Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland, and registered Members of the Royal Institute of British Architects.
Originating from Waterford City, Ireland, today CJFA operates locally, nationally, and internationally with the addition of offices in Dublin, and London - working in all sectors, and all project types, for both Public and Private clients.
CJFA was established in 1986 by Christopher John (Ron) Falconer, who has extensive experience in the construction industry, and has been a Principal in Private Practice for over forty years.
Over three decades, the Practice has grown organically with developing design technology - from traditional draughtsmanship, through CAD, with CJFA currently acting specialists in the delivery of Level 2 BIM.
Along with Partners Gareth Matthew Falconer, and Juneanne Falconer, CJFA employs over twenty-five talented, qualified, and international, Architects, Technologists and Designers, with generations of experience.
Part of this ethos, is CJFA’s commitment to the research, implementation, and innovation of developing design technologies. The CJFA Modelshop integrates the use of laser-cutting, 3D-printing technology, point-cloud, and drone-technology into the architectural design process for model making – allowing rapid-prototyping, and rapid-manufacturing. Design-aiding technologies such as these are integral to our creative process; facilitating concept models, small scale detailed models, and full-scale prototypes - helping to realise and access projects, from conception to completion.
CJFA are also a leading Irish Practice in the implementation of BIM design – adopting a practice-wide integration in 2013; and currently one of the only firms in the country working to BIM Level 2 compliance (the currently recognised highest BIM milestone, and a growing requirement for public projects internationally). From a Client’s perspective, the use of BIM offers key early visualisation through a virtual model of a building-design - assisting in stakeholder consultation, and insuring that the built-product, reflects the client’s expectations.
